The Essential Facts of Backgammon Tactics – Part 1
Posted in Backgammon on 12/12/2015 02:21 am by MadisynThe objective of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the Backgammon board and pull them off the board quicker than your opposing player who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Winning a match of Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. How far you can shift your pieces is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and the way you shift your pieces are decided on by your overall playing strategies. Enthusiasts use a number of tactics in the differing stages of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The aim of the Running Game technique is to entice all your pieces into your home board and pull them off as quickly as you could. This tactic focuses on the pace of advancing your chips with absolutely no time spent to hit or barricade your opponent’s chips. The ideal scenario to employ this technique is when you think you might be able to shift your own chips a lot faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opponent does not use the hitting or blocking strategy.
The Blocking Game Strategy
The main goal of the blocking technique, by the title, is to block the competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your chips quickly. After you have created the blockage for your competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can move your other chips quickly from the game board. You should also have an apparent plan when to back off and shift the checkers that you employed for the blockade. The game gets interesting when the opposition uses the same blocking technique.
